Our Values

Founded in 1923, the Texas Wesley Foundation is a student ministry on the University of Texas campus in Austin, Texas. We strive to create an environment where students are free to question, learn more about and grow in their faith in Jesus as part of a safe, loving and encouraging community. While the Wesley is officially affiliated with the United Methodist Church, we open our doors to all. Please read about our Beliefs and our Vision for 2030.

“In the Wesley I found friendships and a community that kept me grounded in my faith amidst the various challenges of college. While a member, I was discipled, developed as a leader, and ultimately prepared to follow God’s call into vocational ministry. I am forever grateful for this ministry!”

“The Wesley completely shaped my college experience and beyond. It allowed me to discover and nurture a love for ministry that I was unaware of entering into college, and led to me pursuing ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church. The small groups, service events, and leadership opportunities create an unparalleled ministry setting at the University of Texas. I am beyond grateful for the ways the Texas Wesley helped shape me into who I was meant to be.”

“The Texas Wesley offered me invaluable support and opportunities to try new ministry roles during my discernment process. I am so grateful for the community I found at the Wesley that encouraged me as I applied for seminary and continues to cover me in prayer throughout my ministry journey.”
