The Brave new wesley campaign
The total cost of construction for the Wesley space is $4,000,000.
Capstone is paying all these costs. The legal fees of almost $100,000 have been paid from Texas Wesley reserves. This gives us walls and floors, but no furnishings. It also does not include the wiring and installation of lighting and sound in the Worship Center and Chapel. We estimate that these costs will be $500,000.

The Back Story
For the past 20 years, the “Wesley House” has been located at 2202 Nueces. While this two-story house gave a warm welcome to students, it was too small to house some of the main parts of the ministry. It has long been a dream to have a facility large enough to house all aspects of the Texas Wesley.
In 2016, the Texas Wesley was approached by Capstone Campus Communities . They were interested in building a new facility in the West Campus of the University of Texas.
The Texas Wesley has entered into an agreement with Capstone. Capstone receives a long-term lease of the Texas Wesley property. They will build an 18-story building dedicated to student housing that will include a new location for the Texas Wesley. The “Brave New Wesley” will occupy 10,000 square feet on the first two floors of the building. The Texas Wesley will own this portion of the new building. The new space will be four times larger than the old Wesley House.
The new facility will include a Worship Center that will seat up to 200 persons and a small chapel for weddings and other services. Capstone Campus Communities is also paying a $150,000 yearly lease fee to support the ministry. Construction began in July of 2017 and we expect to move into the new facility in July of 2019.
